We are fully funded! 

Hi y'all!

Thanks to your support, we are 100% funded in less than 1 week. WOW!!!! We are so humbled by your generosity. Only 39% of Kickstarter projects reach their goal so we are beyond grateful to have met ours.

Not only did we reach our goal, but within a few hours of launching our campaign, we were selected as one of Kickstarter's “Projects We Love,” which highlights the coolest and most unique campaigns.

Your overwhelming support reaffirms our belief that there is a huge void in children’s literature for books like ours. And because we want this book to reach as many readers as possible, we are going to keep this party going!

We’re excited to soon announce our first stretch goal! Stretch goals are essentially a way for us to keep the momentum going by "stretching” beyond our initial goal. More on that soon. Stay tuned!

UPLIFT & ELEVATE OTHERS

Lastly, local SF Bay Area "mauthor" (mother + author) Angel Chang who is also passionate about representation in Children's books are just as important to shaping culture as TV, movies, and music is also running a Kickstarter ABC: Adobo, Boba, Chai! This is the first book of a new collection inspired by #VeryAsian values. Seriously, check her out ... she's a hoot!

Reader's Choice Finalist + IG Giveaway

I woke up this morning with a few surprises.

1. We hit the $4,000 milestone towards our goal of $5,000!!!

2. "Mika's Quest for the Lost Artifact" was professionally reviewed by the prestigious Reader's Choice and received a FIVE star review!!!!! (That's right, 5 exclamations LOL) Our book will be entered as a finalist in Reader's Choice Book Award contest for the fall.

I am indebted to all of you for your support and I look forward to making you proud to be part of this journey with me.

The visions that I have for this book, far exceed anything I have ever imagined. This experience, reaffirms my belief that there is a market for books like Mika's Quest. 

I am $1K away from my final stretch goal. Here’s how you can help me ride this momentum:

1. Share my book with your network. I’ve attached a graphic should you want to share it on instagram.
   
2. Consider increasing your pledge amount and adding a book to your order to gift/donate.

Mika’s Quest is off to a good start!

The highly anticipated first edition of the Mika’s Quest series just moved into its next phase of ideation with a Kickstarter campaign. We are in the final stages and I can’t wait to get this book into your hands!

Thanks to your support, we are almost 50% funded in 24 hours. WOW!!!! I am so humbled by your generosity, encouragement, and support.

This passion project has been years in the making and there has been such an overwhelming positive response to Mika’s Quest for the Lost Artifact such as:

“What the next generation don’t know are the adjustments WE, as Asian Americans—especially the 1st gen Asian Americans—had to make just to fit in fully. We couldn’t show too much of our Asian heritage in front of our American friends & social life; nor could we show our American culture to our Asian family & friends, otherwise we’d be bullied for being different. It’s good to tell our stories on how history will always repeat itself, but in ways that fit into current society trends (if any of this actually makes sense).”

Every purchase or even $5 donation HELPS us get our stories and education into more classrooms, libraries and communities worldwide!
